What’s Featured at Scion this week? We’re continuing our SEMA Show theme with the Meguiar’s Scion FR-S from last year, the Fatlace Scion tC from the 2009 show, and the MV Designz Scion xB truck that first turned heads in 2008.
From the day it first debuted, the Meguiar’s Scion FR-S has been one of our most popular builds, even going on to be featured as free DLC for Forza Motorsport 4 and Forza Horizon. The custom built FR-S is covered in a coat of custom yellow paint that plays off the carbon fiber lip and sideskirts that line the underside of the car. A Vortech Supercharger powers the car, giving it the requisite power to match its head turning looks.
Fatlace has a rich history collaborating on project builds with Scion, one that includes the widebody Scion tC from the 2009 SEMA Show. Built in part by DTM Autobody, its list of modifications includes wheels from Rays Engineering, “Autumn Copper” paint, and a TRD supercharger under the hood. The Fatlace Scion tC would pave the way for future Fatlace Scion builds including the Scion tC GT, and last year’s Fatlace Scion FR-S.
Finally, the MV Designz Scion xB has had some extensive modifications made to the front of the car, but its showcase feature is located around the back. A custom fabricated truck bed is there in place of the usual hatch, giving the car a unique experience that combines the utility of a pickup with the ride of a passenger car. MV Designz is widely known in the industry for putting together some of the craziest builds around, including the Steve Aoki x Scion FR-S from earlier this year.
As usual, we’ll be bringing you another set of featured Scions next week, so be sure to stop by and check it out!
