J.Period's work has been commissioned by VH1, Def Jam, Capitol, Sony, Geffen & Interscope Records; praised by Billboard Magazine, Vibe, XXL and The Source; and recently featured in trailers for Universal Pictures' blockbuster, American Gangster. Named MTV "Top 5 DJs of 2007," J.Period has won a host of awards and accolades for his DJ skills: 2X Mixtape DJ of the Year Awards, 2X Mixtape of the Year Awards, 3X Top DJ Awards. He has performed at Kanye West's Official Grammy Party, as Lauryn Hill's Official Tour DJ, and toured internationally as a solo performer (South Africa, Brazil, St. Maarten). In 2007, J.Period also shared the stage with hip hop legends Nas, Big Daddy Kane, LL Cool J, Special Ed, Black Moon, Masta Ace, Dead Prez, EPMD, Slick Rick and more, igniting crowds at some of NYC's most memorable hip hop shows.
