Wax Poetics Radio presented by Monk-One

A veteran member of New York City's music community, Monk maintains resident DJ status on one of New York's longest running radio shows, The Underground Railroad (WBAI), and is a founding member and Contributing Editor of well-respected music journal Wax Poetics. He has released two records of original music on Ten12 Records, and numerous CDs through Names You Can Trust, Fat City and other fine labels. He is the former Editor-At-Large for SCRATCH Magazine and a senior buyer and writer for trendsetting NYC Record Store Turntable Lab. With Wax Poetics Radio, Monk brings hip hop, jazz, funk & soul music, as performed by artists featured in Wax Poetics magazine, alongside interviews with the artists themselves.
