Persue (pronounced per-sway) was born and raised in San Diego. He grew up in a family that encourages creativity, where he spent most of his childhood drawing and playing soccer. In 1988, a classmate introduced Persue to aerosol art, and from that day forward his life has been consumed by the art form. Long bus rides from his suburban life brought him all around San Diego in search of more people that also painted. He has been on the quest for style ever since.

To this day, 14 years later, aerosol art is still very much part of his everyday life. It has brought him around the world and back again. He loves to travel and paint wherever and whenever he can. His art crews span the globe and include: Transcendental - founded in America and the U.K; Bronx-based C.O.D (Children of Doom); S.U.K (Stick Up Kids (German Brewed); and S.B.A (Seduced By Aerosol), founded in San Diego by one of Persue's mentors, Quasar.

Persue has been working in the action sports industry for over 12 years. He is a skilled graphic designer, illustrator, aerosol artist, and footwear designer. His natural artistic talents have been featured in numerous magazines and books. He has a long list of accomplishments, including: creating graphics, logos, and brand identities for many well-known companies.

Anyone who knows him can tell you that his work is a reflection of his personality. His animated and fun-loving demeanor as well as an intense imaginative way of looking at the world around him are the building blocks of his work. As a traditionalist, he paints on the streets, and has more recently meshed that background with a rough-edged illustration style to create works for galleries.
