After long and successful runs under the care of both Ken Gushi and Tony Angelo, the TAngelo Racing Scion tC is finally taking a much deserved retirement from competition. Of course, that means Tony will need a new car for the 2013 Formula Drift season, so he’ll be stepping into a certain rear-wheel drive Scion that we think fills that niche quite nicely.
The Scion FR-S that Tony will be running in next season was picked up as a salvage from Hurricane Sandy. With Round 1 in Long Beach just under three months away, he’ll be spending much of the offseason preparing the car for its debut, and getting everything dialed in to match his aggressive driving style.
We’re glad to have Tony back with Scion Racing for 2013, and we’re looking forward to see what he’s got in store for his FR-S build. Follow his progress on his Facebook page, and don’t forget to check out the Scion Racing Facebook page for news and coverage of all of our respective teams.
