The trails of NEFR are among the toughest any team will see over the course of the Rally America season, a fact that can be attributed to long, high speed roads combined with unforgiving terrain. As Andrew Comrie-Picard says it, “making it to the finish line of any rally is tough. Getting on the podium is tougher, and getting on the podium at the New England Forest Rally is one of the toughest things you can do all year.”
Though NEFR threatened to take the Scion Racing Rally xD team out early, dealing the team a huge setback in the form of a punctured transmission, the team was able to swap out the gearbox and get back on the dirt. It didn’t come easily, but with ACP behind the wheel, the team was able to make their way back to the podium and hold on to their 2WD Championship lead.
