Another big weekend’s coming up for us, as both Andrew Comrie-Picard and Robert Stout are seeing action this weekend. ACP and the Scion Racing Rally xD team have been holding onto the Rally America 2WD Championship lead all season long, and with Round 6 at the Ojibwe Forests Rally approaching on 8/23-8/24, they have a chance to lock down their spot for the season.
It won’t be easy, as the Ojibwe Forests Rally is new addition to the Rally America schedule, but ACP and the team have shown a remarkable resiliency this entire year. We’re expecting a strong finish from them to close out the points chase as the season begins to wind down.
Meanwhile, Robert Stout and the KSR team have shown huge improvement throughout the season, as they continue to develop Lucas Oil KSR Scion FR-S. The team has faced more than its share of ups and downs throughout the season – something to be expected when campaigning a new car – but we’ve been stoked to see them trending upward as the year progresses.
Qualifying for their race this weekend at the Sonoma Grand Prix begins on 8/24, with the race itself taking place on 8/25. As always, we’ll be bringing you recaps and results, so tune back into the Scion Racing blog often!
