The countdown to The SEMA Show has begun, and the builders we’ve selected to compete in the 2013 Scion Tuner Challenge have started turning their concepts for the 2014 Scion tC into reality.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ar1ZmtolaL4
On the east coast, Josh Croll has been working with Buck’s Customs on the most unique feature of his build – converting his Scion tC build to a right hand drive model. Once completed, it’ll be the only RHD Scion tC in the world, a feature Josh is banking on giving him the win.
Meanwhile, Walter Franco has sent his car down to El Monte, CA for work to be done by DTM Autobody. There, they’re building a custom wide body kit to accommodate the 20” wheels Walter plans to fit on the car to give it the VIP look he’s going for.
Young Tea, conversely, has decided to take a more hands-on approach to the build, working on the car himself at the MV Designz shop in Orange County. His team has fabricated and molded one-off pieces directly onto the car including wider fenders and a new diffuser, to help preserve the car’s natural lines.
We’ll be bringing you more updates on each of the three builds as SEMA draws closer, so stay tuned for more news and updates on the 2013 Scion Tuner Challenge!
