After a largely successful stop at Road Atlanta, the GReddy, Papadakis, and TAngelo Racing teams are heading back south for Formula Drift’s first-ever stop at Homestead-Miami Speedway for the third round of the year. The track layout has yet to be officially confirmed by series officials, but based off of what we’ve been hearing, the drift course should take us through Turns 2 – 5 of Homestead Miami’s road course before coming to a finish down the long straightaway.

Though Tony Angelo and the TAngelo Racing team were hit by some poor fortune at Road Atlanta, if they’ve proven anything in the past, it’s an unmatched ability to bounce back and return better than ever. We’d be surprised if the TAngelo Racing Scion FR-S wasn’t driven at the absolute limit this weekend, with Tony ripping up his tires as only he can. Barring any unforeseen mechanical issues, he should be back to top form by the start of qualifying on Friday.
Ken and the GReddy team looked hugely improved at Road Atlanta, with the GReddy Racing Scion FR-S showing a glimpse of what it’s capable of when fully dialed in. Having already secured a Top 8 finish after just two rounds of competition, the team has their sights set higher up the ladder and look like strong candidates to come away with a podium. GReddy’s technical knowledge of the Toyota Supra-sourced 2JZ motor should ensure that the GReddy Racing Scion FR-S is running strong throughout the entire weekend.
Coming off an impressive podium finish in Atlanta, Fredric Aasbo and the Hankook Tire Scion Racing tC look poised to continue their march toward the FD Pro Championship. Fredric is the lone driver on the grid who hasn’t seen anything lower a Top 8 finish in nearly two years, a streak he’s going to be keen on keeping alive. His consistent driving should give him a leg up on the field at the new track, and he should be one of the favorites to take home a trophy at the event.
