This weekend, the Papadakis Racing, GReddy Racing, and TAngelo Racing teams are all going to be back at Evergreen Speedway to take on Round 5 of the Formula Drift season. The track, located about 40 minutes northeast of Seattle, has historically been one of our stronger events – in 2012, Ken Gushi earned 4th place while debuting the then-brand new GReddy Racing Scion FR-S, while Fredric Aasbo has a pair of podium finishes under his belt with 3rd Place finishes in 2011 and 2013.
Speaking of podiums, after Fredric’s 1st Place performance at Wall Speedway, Fredric’s sitting comfortably in 2nd in the race for the FD Pro Championship. With the season entering its final stretch run, he’ll be pushing the Hankook Tire Scion Racing tC hard in order to close the gap.
Likewise, with a little more data under their belts, Ken and the GReddy team should be set for a huge performance at the event. The 2JZ powered GReddy Racing Scion FR-S has looked better and better with each successive event, something that we’d be thrilled to see result in a top finish.
Tony Angelo and his crew are in a similar situation, as they’ve been worked tirelessly to get the TAngelo Racing Scion FR-S dialed in. Their performance at New Jersey only scratched the surface of what the car is capable of, which should hold up as Tony lays it all out in Seattle.
