We’ve been big fans of the Slow Mo Guys work for a long time, so needless to say, we were stoked when we got the chance to team up with them to produce a new video featuring the Scion FR-S, as well as noted Scion driver, Ken Gushi of Scion Racing. The FR-S has received critical acclaim for its ability to make even a regular commute feel Epic, so we thought teaming up with the Slow Mo Guys worked out perfectly, as their slow motion videos make even the most ordinary of events seem Epic.
In this instance, the Slow Mo Guys used the Scion FR-S to get a look at what happens when a car splashes through a puddle of water on a rainy day, at 2500 frames per second. That moment might last just a couple of seconds at normal speed, but thanks to their work, we get an entirely new perspective on how a giant wave of water flares out from under the FR-S’ fenders and slowly begins to break just as the car finishes flying by. Check out their video to see it happen, and be sure to send us your own slow mo video for the Scion Epic FR-S Contest!
