Scion Night at Knott’s Scary Farm 2013 FAQs
This is our 10th and final year of Scion Night at Knott’s Scary Farm. This is an exclusive and private event for Scion owners as a thank you for your support and patronage. By partnering with Toys for Tots and the United States Marine Corps, this event is also designed to provide a message of hope to less fortunate children that will assist them in becoming responsible, productive, and patriotic citizens through your donation of a $10 toy. Follow us on Twitter or Instagram at @Scion for information leading up to the event and updates on the day of the event.
Q: When is it?
A: The private event will be held on Wednesday, October 16th. The parking lot will open at 2pm and the park will open at 7pm.
Q: How come the parking lot opens at 2pm, but Knott’s doesn’t open until 7pm?
A: As you can imagine, when we give out a bunch of free tickets people arrive early. We will start handing out tickets at 2pm and will stop when we’ve given out 10,000. With that said, do you like to party? We hope so. During the hours of 2pm and 7pm we will provide entertainment by taking over the parking lot with live entertainment, games, vendor booths, games, food trucks, and a chance to win a VIP experience inside the park with you and up to 4 guests.
Q: How do I get a ticket into the park?
A: In order to get a ticket into the park you must arrive in a Scion and donate a toy ($10 value) to Toys for Tots.
Q: Can I bring my family/friends who do not own a Scion?
A: Absolutely! As long as you arrive in a Scion, you and your passengers will receive a ticket into the park. Only passengers secured in a seat belt and with a toy will be eligible to receive a ticket into the park. One ticket per person. Individual must be physically present to receive ticket, you will not be able to get a ticket for somebody coming later.
Q: Do I have to pay for parking?
A: Yes. Parking will be $20 per car and collected at the parking gates. Only cash will be accepted.
Q: Around what time will you stop giving out tickets?
A: We will have a total 10,000 tickets to give away. We recommend you get there early to ensure you get a ticket. In past years we have run out of tickets by approximately 5:45pm. Once they are gone, they are gone. We will be updating ticket count throughout the day to keep you informed. Follow us on Twitter and Instagram to receive these updates and other important info prior to and on the day of the event.
Q: Will there be tickets available for purchase?
A: Once the 10,000 free tickets are gone, there will be an additional 2,000 tickets for sale at a discounted price of $35 (Retail value is $62). In order to be eligible to purchase a ticket, you still must arrive in a Scion and bring a toy ($10 value) to donate to Toys for Tots. Once these 2000 tickets have been sold there will be no other way to enter the park. This is to ensure our guests receive an exclusive event that has limited crowds with minimal rides for attractions.
Q: What if I forget to buy a toy to donate to Toys For Tots?
A: There will be toys being sold on site by Knott’s and there is also a Wal-Mart within walking distance.
Q: Can I bring outside food and beverages?
A: Outside food and drinks are prohibited but we will have several local food trucks on the premises selling food and drinks to curb your appetite and quench your thirst.
Q: Will I be able to leave the park and come back?
A: Once you are physically inside the park under no circumstance will you be allowed reentry.
Q: Will the Sponsors sell their merchandise on site?
A: Yes. Keep checking back with us on Scion’s Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram to find a list of sponsors that will be on site.
