We’ve got a big weekend coming up, as Michele Abbate, Robert Stout, and Scott Kelley will all be in action, taking on their respective series this weekend!
Michele and the Dynamic Autosports Scion tC have been busy getting the car dialed in during the extensive break they’ve been on since the second event of the MotoIQ Pacific Tuner Car Championships. The third event of the MPTCC season is taking the team out to Auto Club Speedway, a track that Michele has a breadth of experience driving, which should give her a solid edge on the field. It all takes place Saturday – Sunday, August 3-4.
Halfway across the country, Robert Stout and the Lucas Oil KSR Scion FR-S will be out at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course for the next race in the Pirelli World Challenge Championships. The team secured their best finish yet at their last race at Lime Rock Park, and will be looking to build on the momentum they’ve gathered. With the TRD supercharged Scion FR-S running stronger with each event, Robert and the KSR team are a lock to finish the year strong.
Meanwhile, Scott Kelley will once again be out at the Irwindale Dragstrip for the 6th NHRA Summit Series race. The event is the last in this year’s Summit Series, which means Scott’s going to be leaving it all on the track in his Scion Bullet xB dragster. With the car consistently putting down solid times, Scott has as good of a chance as anyone to take home a win at the event.
We’ll be bringing you news and info next week once all the events conclude, so be sure to check back in to ScionRacing.com often!
